1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using eSign Services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
eSign Services provides a pay-per-document electronic signature service. Senders purchase credits and use one credit per document sent for signature. Recipients sign documents in their browser without creating an account.
3. Electronic Signatures
By signing through the Service, you consent to do business electronically as described in our ESIGN Consent Disclosure. Signatures executed through the Service are intended to be legally binding under the U.S. ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 7001 et seq.) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
4. Credits, Billing, and Refunds
Credits are purchased in packages and do not expire. There is no subscription or auto-renewal. Refunds are available on unused credits within 30 days of purchase by contacting support. Used credits (credits applied to a document that has been sent) are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to send fraudulent documents, to impersonate another person, or to send documents requiring notarization, witnessing, or other formalities not supported by simple electronic signatures (e.g. wills, certain family-law instruments, court orders).
6. Your Content
You retain all rights to documents you upload. You grant eSign Services a limited license to process, store, transmit, and append signature certificates to your documents solely to provide the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. eSign Services is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. You are responsible for determining whether an electronic signature is appropriate for your transaction.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, eSign Services's total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
